The second mounted bullfight of the San Isidro Fair. On Saturday 30, Las Ventas Bullring hosts one of the most international events of the season, with bulls from the Portuguese breeder María Guiomar Cortés de Moura for three leading figures of mounted bullfighting: Rui Fernandes, Diego Ventura and the French rider Lea Vicens.

The riders on the bill

Rui Fernandes arrives in Madrid firmly established as one of the leading references in modern mounted bullfighting. Named mounted bullfighter of the year in El Puerto de Santa María and winner of the prestigious Álvaro Domecq Trophy, his successes in arenas such as Valencia, Seville, Madrid, Jerez, Badajoz and Murcia, together with numerous shoulder-borne exits in El Puerto, Antequera, Alcochete, Abiul and Zafra, confirm his artistic maturity. His classical style and consistency across Spain, France and Portugal make him an essential figure of mounted bullfighting.

Diego Ventura is the undisputed leading figure of contemporary mounted bullfighting. He arrives at San Isidro after a season packed with major triumphs in top arenas such as Seville, Madrid, Bilbao and Zaragoza, once again demonstrating total dominance on horseback. At Las Ventas he has achieved nine Puerta Grande exits, a historic record that makes him the most successful mounted bullfighter ever at the Madrid bullring. His shoulder-borne exits in Seville, Jerez, Córdoba and Málaga, along with emphatic performances in Portugal and Mexico, confirm both his current form and his unquestioned status as the sport’s benchmark.

Lea Vicens remains one of the most solid and consistent mounted bullfighters of the current scene. Recent triumphs in arenas such as Seville, Málaga, Murcia and Arles reflect a period of great artistic consistency. Her career includes Puerta Grande exits in leading French bullrings such as Nîmes, Béziers and Mont de Marsan, as well as numerous shoulder-borne exits in major Spanish arenas. Important information about access to the event

• Tickets will be sent in PDF format 3–4 days before the event.

• Tickets must be printed on paper. Entry will not be allowed with digital tickets or mobile devices.

• The printed ticket must be presented at the entrance and will be validated by scanner.

• If multiple copies of the same ticket exist, only the first one presented will be valid.

• The purchase invoice does not grant access to the event.

• It is recommended to arrive at least one hour in advance, check your entrance gate and locate your seat calmly.

• Once the bullfight has begun, access to seats will not be permitted.
