The Community of Madrid Fair is held every year on 1, 2 and 3 May at the iconic Las Ventas Bullring, coinciding with the regional public holiday on 2 May, which commemorates the uprising of the people of Madrid in 1808.

This bullfighting cycle has an institutional and symbolic character, as it pays tribute to Madrid’s identity and its historic link with bullfighting. The event on Friday 1 May: a novillada with a Madrid flavour

On Friday 1 May, Las Ventas hosts a novillada with picadors, featuring novillos from breeding farms in the Community of Madrid, highlighting local stock and the future of bullfighting.

This event is designed as a showcase for emerging talent, with a trio of young novilleros looking to make their mark at the most demanding bullring in the world:

• David López, a promising and resolute torero, who made a notable appearance at Las Ventas on 14 August 2025.

• Álvaro Serrano, a representative of a classical and well-structured style of bullfighting, with good technique and ambition.

• Joel Ramírez, a young prospect who arrives in Madrid determined to leave his name on the sands of Las Ventas.

The novilladas of the Community Fair are traditionally seen as a barometer of the future, occasions where many bullfighters have taken their first steps towards top-level careers.

Important information about access to the bullring

• Tickets will be sent in PDF format 3–4 days before the event.

• Tickets must be printed on paper.

• The printed ticket must be handed over at the entrance, where it will be validated by scanner.

• If multiple copies of the same ticket exist, only the first one presented will be valid.

• The purchase invoice does not grant access to the event.

• It is recommended to arrive at the bullring at least one hour in advance, check your entrance gate beforehand and find your seat calmly.

• Once the novillada has started, access to your seat will not be permitted.
