Morante de la Puebla, central figure of the 2026 season at the Maestranza
Morante de la Puebla will once again be one of the leading names of the 2026 bullfighting season in Seville, following confirmation of his contract for four appearances at the Real Maestranza. The matador from La Puebla del Río will take part in the Easter Sunday corrida, two dates during the April Fair, and the Corpus Christi bullfight, a historic fixture that the company Lances de Futuro has decided to restore as part of its project for the Sevillian arena. His presence significantly strengthens both the artistic and media profile of a crucial season for the bullring.
The agreement, announced by promoter José María Garzón, highlights Morante’s commitment to Seville in the first year of the new management. The Maestranza therefore secures the participation of one of the most influential figures in contemporary bullfighting, capable of setting the tone of the season and attracting large audiences. These engagements are shaping up to be among the most anticipated events of the year, drawing strong interest from both national and international fans.
