Valencia dresses up once again to celebrate the Valencian Community Fair – Virgen de los Desamparados, a very special date on the bullfighting calendar that brings together tradition, devotion and bullfighting. On Saturday 9 May at 6:30 pm, the historic Plaza de Toros de Valencia will host a novillada with picadors designed to showcase the next generation of emerging talent.

This event takes place on a deeply rooted date in the city, coinciding with the festivities in honour of the Virgin of the Helpless (Virgen de los Desamparados), the patron saint of Valencia. This adds a strong symbolic and emotional element to an afternoon that blends a festive atmosphere with the highest professional demands.

The young bulls will come from Chamaco, a breeding farm known for seriousness, mobility and opportunities for artistic expression. Ideal cattle for assessing the style, courage and preparation of novilleros with picadors, who are already at a decisive stage in their careers.

To enter the Valencia Bullring, it is mandatory to present printed tickets. Tickets on mobile devices will not be accepted, and access to the venue may be denied. We recommend arriving at least 1-2 hours before the event to avoid crowds, locate your seat comfortably, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Valencia Bullring.
